PTA is celebrating 125 years of making a difference in education, health, and safety. We are parents and community members devoted to the educational success of every child.

PTA Myths vs Realities
Some people have misconceptions about what it means to be a PTA member. Here are the facts.
MYTH: Joining the PTA means I have to volunteer.
REALITY: Not at all! While we love our volunteers, your membership does not obligate you to volunteer. Many members choose to support us by paying their dues alone.
MYTH: I have to be a stay-at-home parent to join.
REALITY: The PTA is made up of all kinds of people—working parents, grandparents, teachers, and community members. Your busy schedule is not a barrier to joining.
MYTH: The PTA has all the money it needs.
REALITY: Our fundraising is directly tied to the programs we provide. Every dollar raised goes back into the school to support our students, teachers, and events.
MYTH: The PTA only plans parties and fundraisers.
REALITY: While we do organize fun events, we also focus on academics, health, and safety. We advocate for students, provide classroom grants, and fund vital programs and resources.
