CARNIVAL PREP ROLES
Carnival!? Already!? Isn't it in April? Yes. Carnival is on April 26, 2024.
But the prep work starts much sooner. Carnival is a beast and needs a village and much community support to conduct one.
PTA is looking for a Carnival Committee in the following roles to make our Carnival 2024 a grand success.
Please NOTE that if PTA cannot find enough volunteers, unfortunately we will have to cancel events like Carnival. So, please consider volunteering.
Carnival chair - Filled
In-charge of planning and executing Carnival. Carnival chair will have help from Carnival Committee. This person will be working closely with the PTA President.
Time commitment - About 3 months before the Carnival
Carnival co-chair - Filled
Help carnival chair with planning and bringing the carnival to life
Carnival Committee
The Carnival Committee will work with Carnival Chair and PTA to put together all the Carnival puzzle pieces. The Carnival Committee members are encouraged to help each other with ideas and time if needed.
The role of each Coordinator can involve more or less of the tasks mentioned.
Games coordinator (filled)
In charge of selecting games from the games we already have and adding more games if needed. Fixing (you can ask for help) broken games and updating games according to Carnival theme.
Tentative Time Commitment about 2 months before Carnival.
Activities coordinator (filled)
In charge of selecting from activities that we already have and adding more activities if needed.
Tentative Time Commitment about 2 months before Carnival.
Volunteer coordinator (filled)
In charge of looking for volunteers (using signup genius) for carnival preparations and for the day of carnival.
Tentative Time Commitment about 6 weeks before Carnival.
Prizes coordinator (filled)
In charge of taking stock of existing prizes, researching new prizes and working with Carnival Chair to order prizes. To make final prize list and pack prizes into baskets. (Ask for help)
Tentative Time Commitment about 2 months before Carnival.
Tickets coordinator (filled)
To help Carnival Chair with designing and printing tickets. Help with Presale. Help with sorting, organizing and delivering tickets to classrooms.
Tentative Time Commitment about 6 weeks before Carnival.
Food coordinator (filled)
To help carnival chair on deciding food options, ordering and everything related.
Tentative Time Commitment about 2 months before Carnival.
Flyers/banners/Decoration coordinator (filled)
Help carnival chair with promoting and advertising carnival. Help out with flyers and banners. In charge of getting supplies ready for decoration. Plan and decorate according to the carnival theme. Also in charge of arranging music.
